As a first step toward the nuam regional exchange holding, the Santiago Stock Exchange split off its investment and services assets into Sociedad de Infraestructuras de Mercado through a division (división) effective 1 Mar 2023; SIM's 48 million shares, held pro rata by the exchange's shareholders, could trade on the Bolsa de Santiago from 15 Mar 2023, and SIM was later merged into Holding Bursátil Chilena.
